Beasiswa S3 bidang Fisika dengan tema “Laser Spectroscopy in Health Sciences”, Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, Belanda

Beritahu teman:

Kualifikasi :

  • Mempunyai latar belakang S2 bidang Fisika atau Kimia
  • Menguasai bahasa Inggris atau Belanda

Deadline : 31 Mei 2009.

The topic of your research will be the development of highly sensitive trace gas detectors, based on continuous wave 2 µm lasers and state-of-the-art spectroscopic methods. The field of application will be the detection of trace gases in the exhaled breath of humans which may provide an early, non-invasive indication of diseases

Requirements
You should hold a Master’s degree in physics or chemistry. You have sufficient proven expertise in laser development or molecular spectroscopy. Furthermore, a good command of the Dutch or English language is essential.

Organization
Radboud University Nijmegen is one of the leading academic communities in the Netherlands. It enrols 17,500 students in approximately 90 study programmes. high quality of the university’s postgraduate schools and research institutes has received national and international recognition, especially in the fields of information technology, chemistry and physics. The Trace Gas Research group at Radboud University focuses on sensitive, on-line, and non-invasive detection of trace gases in Life Science. The EU has recognized the research of this group as a Research Infrastructure called Life Science Trace Gas Research Facility. This facility offers European scientists in biomedical fields the opportunity to perform state-of-the-art laser-based and mass-spectrometry-based trace gas research on their biological samples, making use of the equipment’s excellent sensitivities. The strength of these instruments resides in their ability to perform biologically non-invasive, fast, sensitive and on-line detection of ultra low gas concentrations at and below the ppbv level under rapidly changing conditions.

Sejak tahun 2006 pemerintah Malaysia menunjuk empat universitas menjadi Research University (RU) yaitu Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), dan Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Salah satu sasaran yang [...]
